Biography[]
Judge Lyttle presides over Rusty Sabich's case.
Appearances[]
People vs. Rozat Sabich[]
Judge Lyttle is given an introduction by the prosecutor and defense sides, and she sets the bail and asks the two sides when they want their pretrial conferences. While the prosecutor's side wanted to schedule it asap, the defense sought to waive it, which amused Judge Lyttle, who revoked the bail and set the trial to occur immediately. Also, she warns the prosecutors about the pomp press conferences they hold and directs it to the defense too. However, the defense denies ever doing such a thing.
Discovery[]
Judge Lyttle oversees a pretrial hearing in which the prosecutor and the defense deliberate about the evidence in the case. She defuses a couple of notably contentious bits between the two sides and advises that the prosecutors be more transparent about the evidence they have in their possession.
The Burden[]
Raymond briefly mentions Judge Lyttle and notes that she'll likely side with the obstruction charge against Rusty.
Pregame[]
At the start of the first day of Rusty's trial, Judge Lyttle takes her seat and allows Tommy to start his opening statements.
The Elements[]
Judge Lyttle oversees the second court trial day of Rusty's murder case and rules on a few objections made by the defense and prosecutor.
The next day, during Jeremy Buck's testimony, Judge Lyttle interjects when Raymond tries to impose Liam Reynolds as a plausible alternative. However, she instructs him that he cannot argue it further unless Raymond has tangible proof of his claim.
She'd then oversee Eugenia's testimony.
Inside her private quarters, Judge Lyttle reviews the case with the defense and prosecutor sides. She mentions that Dalton had filed a petition to recuse him from testifying, but she denies it. She then proposes changing the charge from murder to manslaughter, but Rusty and Tommy reject this.
The next day, Michael testifies, and Judge Lyttle constantly and calmly instructs him to testify the facts rather than his opinion.
The Witness[]
Inside her private chambers, Judge Lyttle talks to Rusty, Mya, Nico, and Tommy about how they'd like to proceed with the case after Raymond has had a heart attack. She proposes a mistrial, but Rusty, against the will of his council, chooses to represent himself.
During Michael's testimony, she sustains some objects and ends the court trial after Rusty tries to imply that either Dalton or Michael may have killed Carolyn.
Eventually, she'd oversee Rigo's trial, which led to Tommy demanding that Rusty testify in his defense. In her chambers, Judge Lyttle agreed to allow Rusty to do it, stating that he brought it upon himself when he cross-examined Rigo.
Judge Lyttle oversees Rusty's testimony when he takes the stand and is steamrolled by Tommy's line of questioning.
The Verdict[]
Upon hearing the news of the alleged murder weapon being found in Tommy's home, Judge Lyttle again offers the chance to have a mistrial, but both the defense and prosecutor reject it.
Judge Lyttle then oversees the closing arguments by the defense and then the prosecutors.
On the day of the verdict, Judge Lyttle allows her clerk to read it to the people in the court.
